Our Story

I grew up on the water; I rode out my first tornado in my dad's 19-foot Larson under the dash in a car seat, and I've had the bug ever since. Born from a life on the water and a love for water skiing, I decided to open my very own boat shop. Chasing the dream of owning my own business, and my passion for boats, I founded Platte River Marine in North Platte, Nebraska in August of 2025. I have always enjoyed working on boats, cars, trucks, and anything else with an engine. Growing up, I worked extensively on family members boats, as well as my own. As a result, I pursued a career as a heavy equipment mechanic after high school and graduated from Lincoln College of Technology in Denver, CO with a degree in Diesel Technology. While still working in the heavy equipment industry as a Field Mechanic, I have spent any free time I have chasing this dream to make it a reality.
